I just had to re-boot this thread up from the dead zone.

I went shopping for new hiking boots yesterday (instead of meeting my wife at our pre-arranged rendezvous for candlelight supper and romantic evening watching mud wrestling) and when I finally succeeded in choosing a pair the salesperson asked me this: "did you want the model with round or square eyelets?"

Then he winked at me and said he lurked on VFTT and had read this thread. Now aint that something?
