Beautiful weather, perfect temps. Trail was good. Water was fair. Climb is easy and gradual with some short steep ups. We started at Maine 4 at 7:20am and summited at 11:30 am. Took lots of breaks going up. Saw the signs out for Gerry (aka Inchworm)
Great hike was had by all. Reached the parking lot by 2pm, 11.6 miles.
I love this area of Maine. The towns and the people are great. We had the summit to ourselves. Saw quite a few thru hikers. Spent the weekend at Rangeley Lake State Park. If you ever get the chance, its a nice little campground on a beautiful lake. The loons were incredible!!!!
