Date of Hike: 01-17-2009
Trail Conditions: 19 Mile Brook trail solid like a sidewalk. Carter Dome Trail packed out but softer. Carter Moriah Trail from Zeta Pass -> N Carter Tr -> Imp Tr -> Joe Dodge Lodge logging Rd was untracked. No significant blowdowns, all minor stream crossings easy.
Special Equipment Required: Microspikes on the sidewalk (19 MBT), snowshoes the rest of the day.
Comments: Almost did not venture out today due to MWO Higher Summit Forecast which was calling for "Wind chills 65-75 below rising to 50-60 below."
It was 5 to 10 below going across the Carter's but there was NO wind! Never put on a shell or face gear... go figure.
