Hiked up to Thomas Cole today on a gorgeous, sunny and HOT spring day. Trail up was a little muddy in some spots but for the most part it was quite dry and the trail although rocky was in great shape. There is one large blowdown right in the middle of the trail on the way up to Camel's Hump but you can easily go around it left or right. Views at Camel's Hump were gorgeous. After staying here for awhile we pressed on to Thomas Cole, and found some refreshing snow in some hidden spots to put on our heads. So refreshing! Views all the way to Belleayre mountain could be seen from the viewpoint almost to the Thomas Cole summit. Sun was out in full force, Sunblock should have been used although it wasnt and now i've got a mild case of sunburn.

However, all in all a wonderful spring hike!
