We did this massive trip on Sunday, July 21. Nice temps, sunny, but not too, buggy in some spots, but mostly not.
Six Husbands Trail is in great condition, although we experienced some difficulty in one rocky spot below the ladders. The way up was hidden, and there was a very clear trail through a cave and then down. Once you start up, (and you'll know it when you do), DO NOT HEAD DOWN.
The Sphinx Trail is in need of some work. There are a number of blow downs, there was a massive avalanche that literally took down a huge slide, and this is causing some difficulties on a trail that frequently criss-crosses the river, and there are a lot of crossings. At the bottom, the trail is a permanent stream, and if your don't have waterproof footwear, you will get your feet soaked. Still, it's a very beautiful trail, but leave yourself a lot more time than book time, as the travel is quite slow due to the steepness, the trail finding, and dealing with trail hazards.
All the best,
Brian
