Totoket and I are going to be hiking the Pemi, Bonds and Twin Range between Sept 19-22. I'm curious about the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River.
Given the lack of recent rainfall, does anyone have any beta on crossing that river while carrying full packs. I'm particularly wondering about the areas near:
1) the wilderness boundary gate on the East Side Trail,
2) Bondcliff Trail and Wilderness Trail junction or,
3) other places in between these two.
Can we 'rock hop' across? Can we wade across with hiking poles but WITHOUT having to worry about getting dumped by the river current?
Also, any feedack on site availability at 13 Falls and Guyot Campsites?
