Weekend trip

I just recently moved from Buffalo to Baltimore and I am still trying to figure out what I can do in the area in terms of hiking. Any suggestions? Thank you...

PS. Anyone interested in hiking a portion of AT in this area as a weekend trip?

From Bal'mer? Shenadoah for crowds, GW & Mon Nat. Forests for less crowds. AT thru MD is a nice overnighter. For day hikes, Sugarloaf Mtn has some interesting, if short, trails. Some good day hikes also along the Susquehanna (kellys Run, Mason-Dixon trail). Feel free to ask or pm for any specifics.
