Trails: Blueberry Ledge, Rollins and Dicey Mill
Trail conditions: We went up Blueberry Ledge and down Dicey Mill. Ledges were covered in snow; really weren't a problem at all. Lots if ice under the snow. If we see a warm up, the ledges will be very interesting. A group in front of us broke out the Rollins Trail (thanks) so route finding wasn't a problem. The fir trees were covered in about 1/2 inch of ice. Made for a lot of icy face slaps. Rollins Trail and upper part of Dicey Mill was covered in an icy crust. Most of the crust is broken but some is not. Made the sidehill decent down Dicey Mill a seemingly endless grind.
Special equipment: We used snowshoes from start to finish.
Comments: The wind was howling most of the day. Tracks filled in quickly. At one point, a section of a tree broke off about 20 feet from us. Tough hike for Brewsters winter 44 and 45 but as always a great day to be out.
