Trail had a firm, packed snow surface bottom to top. Snow was softening in the warm sun so may ice up a bit when it cools off. No blowdowns, no crossings. On the Rollins Trail, beyond the true summit of Whiteface, it appeared that snowshoes might be required. Wiggin not broken out.
We wore Hillsound ST's from the car and they were perfect for the conditions.
Beautiful day with light wind, warm sun and good distant views. This is always an entertaining hike.
