Date of Hike: Dec 22 2007
Trail Conditions: 19 mile partially packed, also post-holed. AT post-holed plus new powder on top of that unstable base.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes, stamina essential.
Comments: 3 hours for Aaron and I to break trail up the AT from Carter notch. That was his first winter hike! Another 2.5 hours breaking trail to the ski area. I'd guess that a group of 6 to 10 hikers with SHOWSHOES are needed to properly tame the wildcat.
