Yesterday we had fun on The Bonds. The conditions were a pretty good test but we made it through the day with the only casualty being a lost insulated bottle pouch – somewhere on Bondcliff. Long day with lots of good memories.
Tomorrow’s hike to Isolation is shaping up to be a real good one. We have a solid group lined up to take on the trek. Based on our experience and posted reports, it looks like MicroSpikes (or something similar) will be all that is needed for added footwear.
Please don't take this as anything more than personal opinion. Feel free to bring any gear along that you would like - it's your back.
There is still room for more. The on-trail time from Rocky Branch trailhead is 7:30am.

After tonight, I will not monitor the thread.
If you are interested in the Saturday hike to Middle Carter and possibly beyond, just show up at the Nineteen Mile Brook trailhead to be ready for the 8:30am target on-trail time.
