Trail Conditions: Bare boot or microspike to the hut..most of the road is bare and the trail was firm in the early morning. Above the hut hard pack for awhile which soon turned to powder in increasing depths. We found our way, on trail most of the way to Zeacliff where there was a foot or so of new wet snow. Route finding difficult in very deep untracked snow to Zealand..I would guess 12-18 inches of new snow along the ridge..occaisional blazes brought much cheer and we were pleased to locate and dig out the summit sign. Trail wanders a bit but now broken out in deep snow to Guyot. Hard pack through that section once to the ridge was a nice respite. Lots of face whackers in deep snow to col and up to West Bond. Basically cut our way into West Bond in places..track is basically on trail. Easy going to Bond. Nice firm snow on winter route to Bondcliff col where there is mostly bare rock to the summit. Snow began on south side and back to snowshoes..the big ledge is invisible..the trail a little brushy in spots but good going to 4th crossing.Took the brook bushwack which saved some time and energy. Back on trail the Lower crossings broken out and flowing..many blowdowns and bendovers on lower Bondcliff...a mess!!! Wilderness trail a mix of loose granular..mud..flowing water..you get the picture. Lincoln Woods had some mud and ice ..no issues

Equipment: light traction and snowshoes..we had snowshoes on for 15 miles or so..Bring your saw

Comments..pics and more in Trip report section..coming up
