Date of Hike: Saturday May 1st
Trails: Zealand Road, Zealand, Twinway, Lend-a-Hand, hale Brook
Trail Conditions:
Zealand - not much snow, trail is wet in spots but in good shape
Twinway - Packed trail the whole way to Zealand summit, snowshoes are the way to go. Be careful of a bushwhack that goes the wrong way to the right then swings back across the trail to the left just after steep section past zeacliff pond trail junction. I put some small branches over it to obscure it.
Lend-a-Hand - I broke it out, it's good to go. Whoever painted those blue blazes on that trail should win an award...thank you your awesome!
Hale Brook - packed down snow from snowshoes until first water crossing then a muddy wet trail
Comments: Warm day with good views, trip report here http://dailey7779.blogspot.com/2010/05/breaking-trailin-may-zealand-mountain.html
