Well, he's *SORT* of like you and me, but more extreme, in most cases.

Interesting article, but it does not give the names of the three other completers of the Northeast 3k list, two of which regularly post on VFTT, Dennis C, and John H. Swanson. The third is Sue Eilers.

We were just out hiking in the catskills near Balsam Lake Mountain. The Dry Brook ridge trail goes across the road the other way as well. We were looking in the register for someone else, but there in the list is an entry with

"Eric Schlimmer - Forest Ranger on patrol"

He really gets around!

Another 'Eric Sighting' was made recently at the Balsam Trail head. Once again, he was signed in as a DEC Assistant Ranger. Maybe one day I will actually see this elusive creature!
