Trail Conditions: The trail was well packed down and very easy to hike. At the top, most tracks cut off going to the intersection and headed straight up to the summit. Last few tenths were very icy. Be careful coming back down whichever way.
Special Equipment: I wore Kahtoola crampons back down to the Mizpah cutoff but there were only necessary for the first couple of minutes
Comments: It was the best above tree line hike that I have had in three winters. Seemingly endless visibility, not a cloud in the sky and no wind. I could have stayed up there all day. I was very surprised to not see another person until we where most of the way back down. View was totally different than summer due to the great depth of snow at the summit.
