After spending a month, clearing some of the hiking trails in the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John, I can report that they are all cleared. The ice storm seems to have caused no damage. The new superintendent of the Park Service there has made some improvements but he still has a hard road to hoe in dealing with the welfare or entitlement attitude that many of his employees seem to have. Getting the Park service to even allow visitors to help with clearing the trails has been a many year battle.
