Oncoman and I did White Cap and North Kennebago divide yesterday. On our way out, we ran into Maurice Pepin, the kind fellow you call to get permission to use and park on Canada Road (also shown as Kennebago Road on maps). He has been very accomodating to hikers this winter! He informed us that they will complete their winter logging operations on Tuesday Feb 10 and that the road will not be plowed after that date. The road is currently plowed to the second gate which is far enough to do COP Snow, Boundary, and White Cap/NKD.
This approach will be good until the next snow storm. After that, the alternatives will be much longer
. If anyone has these peaks on their itinerary for this winter, it would be advisable to get them this week.
