Construction on the auto roads on Wachusett are not preventing crossing, but the construction noise eliminates the wilderness feeling. Trails were all clear and dry.
Also noticed that the mileage to the summit from the border of the Audobon property reads 2.5 miles, which is way to high. Probably more like 1.75 or 2 miles.
There is a trail up Little Wachusett that is blazed in red and cleared of blowdowns, but does not show on the Audobon or AMC maps. I caught one end as a herd path off of Thompson Road and did not follow all the way to the other end, so I'm not sure of the start and ending conditions (or parking etc.).
