Certainly we've done our share of peakbagging, and will continue to do so. But we also have done trips that are leisurely walks. I don't consider a day of no hiking on a multi-day trip "taking the day off" but rather a part of the total experience. It's not ALWAYS necessary to be going somewhere, especially if where you are is a beautiful spot.
