Just a quick couple paragraphs and pics:

A friend and I climbed Lake Placid Slide just before Tropical Storm Sandy came into town back in October. We left the Connery Pond area around 8:45 a.m., got to the slide top about 2 or so where we parted ways. I arrived back at the car just before 5 p.m. Intermittent sun and mist presented an interesting combination for photography. The stream below was a bit more cleaned out since I was here last here in 2007. Unfortunately, I can still say that this is one of the most slippery slides I've climbed (mainly near the bottom and in the stream-bed) ...a great example of ADK Teflon! Enjoy the pics.
