It seems to me that there has been a big increase in recent years in logging activities on public lands managed as State Forests and Wildlife Management Areas. This activity seems to coincide with the recent period of shortfalls in tax revenues in the state. I was wondering where the money goes from a logging job in an area controlled by say NH Fish and Game, such as Hacket Hill WMA that is on the Bearcamp River Trail? I have been running into more and more of these seemingly clear cut public lands over the last few years and the pace of the logging seems to be picking up. Does anybody have any input on this?

I know they have logged on both in the past. SF are supposed to exemplify good forest mgt and WMA should create good habitat. I'll bet there's a written plan that you could see on request.
