Does anyone know if the shuttles that run between trailheads allow dogs to ride along.

Pets and alcohol prohibited. Bad.
I guess they want you to wait til you get behind the wheel to enjoy that post-hike beer; but the pet prohibition just doesn't make any sense at all.

Bill @ Mountain Courier Shuttle, 207-329-6433, was more than happy to shuttle me and my big dog from Lincoln Woods to Zealand, and on my own schedule.
The shuttle is mainly for connecting hikers who are staying at the huts, and dogs aren't allowed at the huts. In general, dogs aren't allowed in any AMC facilities and that extends to their shuttle.

Maybe allergies? Liability too if someone's dog bit someone.
