Good stuff! I did the DC in Late May/Early June. Amazing place.

Rainier certainly has my vote as the most incredible mountain in the lower 48. The Emmons side is every bit as great as the DC side.

Great trip report! Congratulations!
I was in Seattle on vacation last month and every time "the mountain came out," I couldn't help but wonder what a climb would be like.

My buddies from Australia and England were indeed impressed upon first setting eyes on it from Seattle. In typical Englsih understatement, Richard said "Now that's a proper looking mountain."
Unlikely that I'll go back for the hat trick, but if I ever do, I have an eye on the Kautz. It was a close call between the Emmons and Kautz for me this time. We really lucked out with the snow/glacier condtions. Mountain was in fantastic shape.
