BTW - The black flies are out up north

Nice while it lasted, they were out today but not aggressive, yet. Given the weeks forecast I expect they will be out in full force for Memorial Day.

They have been out but not too bad in Tamworth, but we're considerably worse on Bayle Mt. yesterday afternoon.

They've been awful here in southern NH for a while now. Yesterday was a full head net day.

I guess the black flies don't believe in social distancing

Pretty bad in Sandwich Notch yesterday wherever there wasn't any good breeze -- definitely a head net and long-sleeved shirt day, in spite of the warm temperatures.

That's a good sign then. If the Mosquitos are in the Black flies are usually on a flatting curve.

Yeah, it’s weird. The mosquitos are pretty bad yet the black flies are not.
