Great news, it was in pretty sorry shape last summer, definitely not a show piece.
 
What would depend? The 200' cols? no. PUDs? no. Both are there either direction. The hardest part (IMO)? no, IMO still hard either way. Please clarify.



True, BUT, the trail moved after the FWT was decomissioned and before the internet.

Going up South Twin from Guyot and Down to Galehead isn't as bad as going up Garfield when doing the loop counter clockwise. (Unless you have great lungs and bad knees.) And what Dave said too, although mentally once you get up N. Lafayette, it's mostly down hill from there. (Similar to reaching Washington on the Presi-Traverse)

My knees have aged better carrying the extra weight than my lungs have.....
