    Great Gulf Camping

    great gulf I havent followed the trail all the way up to the ridge but i know that only a mile or two into the gulf from rt 16 are quite a few fantastic spots. some right on the trail, some in spur trails. Ive liked them all though they tend to be popular in the warm weather so go early.

    stranded and fined I heard last week 4 pples from philly had to be rescued in VT and were fined for(?)not being properly outfitted an/or prepared. I dont recall any other details except those but the story made me smile all the while :)

    Thoughts on Great Gull Trail

    great gulf I hiked part of it last fathers day. I love that particular spot, every time ive been in the gulf, winter or summer, there were few people, and much of it is easy going. lots and lots of places to kick back and relax, plenty of tent sights....its got it all.
