there is gore-tex tape out there, try that. i got a rip in my TNF shell while at 18,000' and did not have to worry about my coat becuz i new i had the tape in my repair kit :D

for what its worth ive owned a sunnto for about 8 years now. Ive put many miles on it and some pretty intense route finding days in wheather that was nasty :eek: and my watch has always performed like i expect it to. ive said it before its a cool tool for the outdoors.....

hi ivy as an outdoor guide i use ASOLO gore-tex boot. it's a dry sturdy boot in all conditions even when wet :) i've had mine for 3 years now and its a first for me cuz im tuff on boots. also use a gator to help keep rain and dirt out. have fun. by the way i liked your 100 mile wilderness trip...
