    Mt. Hale

Date of hike - 1/28/12 Took the N. Twin trail to the "trail which will remain nameless". Snow was collapsing under our feet with a "whump" but overall it wasn't too bad. Snowshoes were worn all the way. No need for micro-spikes or anything more.

    Lost pole on Crawford Path

A good friend of mine was out yesterday and came upon a couple of hikers in trouble. She assisted the hikers in trouble and while doing so left a single pole behind. The pole was left on the Crawford Path and it's a Black Diamond Flicklock, color is red/silver/black. If anyone happens upon the...

    Cannon

Cannon via Kinsman Ridge from the Tramway lot. Snow conditions were good. Some soft spots up high but nothing to worry about. The last push up the summit from the viewpoint up was somewhat of a mess. Lots of spruce traps and soft snow. The route does not follow the Kinsman Ridge trail proper...

    Hale via Fire Wardens

    N. Twin trail in fine shape. Well packed out and easy to navigate. We over-shot the start of the FW trail but realized our mistake and back tracked. We eventually found the FW trail and headed up. All evidence of Rockets visit up this trail yesterday was erased by wind loaded snow/drifting. Low...

    Hale Via 7 Dwarfs

Anyone been up Hale via 7 Dwarfs/Little River Road lately? We're planning on heading up there tomorrow to hit the summit of Hale via the Fire Wardens trail but we can't seem to get through to anyone at 7 Dwarfs to verify the road has been plowed and is accessible.

Typical winter ascent route of the Carters

I'd like some feedback regarding the following winter ascent routes of the Carters. We're planning on hitting them in early Jan. I've got three route options but I'm not sure which would be best or maybe there is a better route that I haven't thought of. 1) Up 19 mile to the hut and ascending...
