    I am planning a section hike north bound starting at Long Lake. I'd rather leave my tent. Can you tell me how busy the lean-tos are along the shore of Long Lake? Specifically, Kelly Point/Rodney Point and Plumleys. Are these lean tos generally in full use mid week in July/August.

    matches vs. bic lighter

    Most of the so-called '10 essentials lists' I've seen have included waterproof matches. I've never used 'em, but I certainly don't wish to be unprepared. But I'm wondering if there is any benefit or good reason to having waterproof matches over a nice little bic lighter?

    high peaks lean-to's

    I nominate the Wolf Jaws lean-to as the most beautiful in the high peaks. Maybe it was just because it was such a site for sore eyes, but that place is awesome!! Is there any other lean-to in the high peaks with such a beautiful surrounding environment? I want to see more!
