A cute, seasonal story

This is about a 7 year old boy.

I gave my grandson a pair of snowshoes for Christmas. He knows that his father and I have gone out snowshowing in the past and, like any kid, he certainly knows what 'shoes' are.

Upon opening the package, he walked over to his father and said "How am I going to keep my socks dry?"

Such beautiful and trusting faith!!! Can't wait to get him out in the snow.

It's great to get kids started early on the trail. We started our grandkids hiking with us when we go to see them. We brought each one to New England for a "backpacking and camping weekend"including the ceremonius "very own first pair of real serious hiking boots!"
The grandkids think were awsome "cause we camp in the snow in the mountains. Their parents think we've gone crazy.
Now,it's automatic-"what do you want to do kids?"
"Let's go hiking !!"
