Figured we'd give Madison and Adams a shot today. The temps and visibility were forecast to be great, but we were concerned the winds would be too high for us to summit. Winds were increasing over the day, but were doable. They increased over the course of the day, and when we were on Adams summit, winds were 53 on the rockpile. I'd say we were 45 sustained on Adams, with higher gusts. All trails were well packed and we all wore various traction on our feet, no 'shoes.
