Got an email from JetBoil last night, they issued an RMA and I'm going to send it to them to be fixed/replaced free of charge.

Great suggestion.

I sell them at EMS & every one that I sell, I suggest to the purchaser that they carefully sand & fit the plastic cup for easy removal. My BP partner has one that we "modded". Works great.

Great suggestion. I'll try it. Like others I've fumbled with removing the plastic cup - esp with mittens on.

JayH - glad Jetboil Customer Service came through. I like their product; I'm glad they back it up.

Got the cup back, looks to be brand new. I was also sent a 4oz JetBoil canister and 2 little orange/white JetBoil stickers...

5/13 Union Leader article on JetBoil

There is an article on the Manchester-based JetBoil company in the business section of today's Union Leader... always nice to support the local company when you can. They are going to Everest this season with Conrad Anker.

I did not find it online, sorry.
