Base Road

I have heard rumors that the cog rr is NOT running this winter, which leads me to think that Base Road would in turn NOT be plowed. I believe that not until recently was this road ever plowed. Does anybody have concrete information on the status of Base Road this winter?

Base Road was consistently plowed all last winter and according to conditions reports (like here: http://www.newenglandtrailconditions.com/nh/viewreport.php?entryid=3533) there are no parking problems. I believe that since MWO runs off valley power now they keep the road cleared for access to the power poles.

Even w/o the cog running, we got chased out of the upper lot by people in the cog bldg and into the hiker's lot.
