Bear Notch Road CLOSED

Just some updated info:
Although the NH Forest Road Status states that Bear Notch Road is still open, we drove there from the Kanc side yesterday afternoon (Saturday the 24th) & it was gated.

NHDOT controls that road, not the WMNF, so the online page may not be as up-to-date. As you unfortunately found out on Saturday.

Was going to report this myself. A little late. Yeah, it was open Thursday night and when I went to use it to get home it was closed Sunday afternoon. I have to admit it was pretty icy on Thursday. I was actually surprised it was still open considering how icy it was.
