Trails- Firewardens trail to AT
Conditions- Small patches of snow low, above 3000 steady snow covered trails. On the AT up to 6 inches of snow. First postholes of the season are out! Roots slippery and leaves as well. Going down steep trail need to be careful of all the above
Equipment- We wore Stabilicers from Avery to West Peak. Helped, but not a must.
Comments- cut short a loop over South Horn due to concern for rain. Great views everywhere. Drove to end of the Stratton Pond Road in 4-Runner- doable, but muddy. After last nights rain would be more interesting. Windy on the Peaks and cold, otherwise nice day.
