Quick one. All of the hiking boots I've owned have been some type of leather but I am looking at a few pairs now like the Asolo Fugitive and Raichle X-Degree 7 that incorporate cordura nylon into the mix. Anyone have an opinion on the durability of the nylon vs the leather? My last pair of leather Merrells just gave out after 9 years. Can nylon go the distance and support like leather? My leather alternative is something like the Montrail Blue Ridge. Links to the Asolo and Montrail at REI are below. Thanks!
