Parking is plowed out for about 5 cars at the York Pond Trailhead. Parking lot at Unknown Pond Trailhead also plowed out.
Trail was a well packed sidewalk with about 1inch of fresh powder on top. All of us used light traction (Microspikes/Crampon Pro).
Weather was much better then predicted.
It was an animal track fest today. Grouse, mice, squirrels, fox (after grouse), snowshoe hare, lynx (after snowshoe hare), and lots of moose. When on the tread way even the moose don't damage it. Some drifting after the junction with Mt. Cabot Trail and more on the top from the cabin to the summit.
Great day out with Karen, Fran and Carolyn (first winter 4K).
