19 Mile trail to Carter Dome Trail.
19 mile trail got hammered during Irene! There have been some good temporary fixes in spots in some places, but this trail will either need a LOT of work in the coming years, or will need a re-route. Very little/no snow in places, even as high as the switchbacks on CD trail above the last brook crossing. Ice, however was omnipresent. From there, snow is consistent, if thin. Microspikes were the traction of choice all day. Great views of the Presis from higher up. A good way to start 2012!
