In a few days, the newest edition of the 'Catskill Trails' Guide book, edited by me, will be available. The previous edition was published in 2013, and a lot has changed since then. The new book features:
- New trails
- Information on reroutes
- Clearer and more concise descriptions
- GPS coordinates for the trailheads and parking areas. Speaking of parking, winter access is now included.
- Updates on high usage areas such as Blue Hole, Kaaterskill Falls, etc.
- Updates to mileages and elevations
- Updated view information
- Better consistency with Nat Geo's map of the region
- Links to other resources
- Loops and 'extreme' outings
I will have copies available for a discount at the Catskill 3500 Club's Annual Dinner, to be held 7/23 (see web page for details).
If you definitely want a copy while at the dinner, let me know.
If you want one another way, let me know as well, and we'll see what we can work out.
Adk will also be selling them thru bookstores and their web page.
FYI, I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the 3500 Club.
