Has anyone here used CHDK on their Canon point and shoot cameras? More info is here

I have an A540 that is off warranty, and it looks like this could add useful features to it. Being able to increase time exposures is just one of the options. I understand that it isn't supported by Canon, but it would seem that any bugs in a version like the A540 would have been worked out by now, or is this another "too good to be true".

Thanks!

Yup, I use it for my SD800, mainly for the optical zoom in video. It stays on the memory card, never overwriting the firmware on the camera, so it doesn't violate any warranty. Try it, it's easy to set up and easy to get rid of if you don't like it.
