Dog Sledding in Maine this winter

I have signed on to do a 2 day one night dogsledding trip up in Maine this February. While I have a good amount of Whites winter experience, I am thinking that dog sledding will be a totally different. I know that there are brief sections where you step off and run with the dogs, but I am guessing you do not build up anywhere the same amount of heat as chugging up a mountain. Does anyone have any tips on gear or anything else that I might need to know?
