Yesterday on another perfect day I decided to try it. I had this hike
in mind since last december.

With Danny and Suzie we started at the Lafayette campgound at
8:00 am. We follow the falling water trail all the way to the ridge.
The snow was hard and we use our microspike. On the ridge it was
a mix of Rocks, snow and ice, we continue with our spike and except
for a very small part between Lincoln and Little Lincoln we were fine.
We reech Lafayette at 11:15 and no wind at all. After couple of
picture Danny and Suzie continued for Garfield and I went for
Greenleaf. Very good view going down and a bit of ice but nothing
to worry. Lots of hikers at the hut and more on the Old Bride Path
going up. At 1:00 pm I was at my van and after a good lunch I
decided to drive to the cog rail station and try for washington.

It was very hot going up on the side of the track. I went up in snowshoes
and I was more tired that I expected, slowly I progress on my way up.
I follow two other hiker track. Above treeline I managed to stay on the
right side of the track to avoid the cliff on the left soo I kept my snowshoes
all the way to the summit. The wind was 25-35 mph from the west.
Not much off snow on the ridge and after 5500 feet it was all white. For
the last 200 feets up the snow was harder with a little bit of ice.
At the summit it was not cold so I took a long break at the summit sign.

I had a great day on those two ridges.View attachment 2622
