the bonatti book IS still available from modern library adventure series. any good bookstore ought to have it or be able to order it. just give 'em this isbn--037575640X.

it's a great book. check out gaston rebuffat's "starlight and storm" too. same modern library adventure series reprint.

Actually what I meant is there any of Walter Bonatti's other books aside from "Mountains of my Life" still available. I have "Mountains of my Life".

I did do a quick search and it seems all of his other books are put of print. So let me rephrase: anyone know of good used book stores that have a decent mountaineering section that may have his work?

Alive, the story of the Andes survivors (Piers Paul Reid, I think). This was the story of a rugby team who's plane crashed in the Andes.
