Hike: Hadley Mtn Firetower
Route: out and back from Tower Road in Hadley, NY
1.8 mileish trail is well packed down in pretty much everywhere, microspikes were worn up and down just to make things a bit easiler. Tower road is well plowed and the parking area was well maintained.
The firetower itself is in decent shape, the rungs were ice free and we barebooted to the top most landing, the cab is locked but the views were fine from the landing so long as you can deal with the wind.
A great short 3.6 mile round trip with approx. 1500' elevation gain, a nice workout for sure after two full days in the ADK high peaks area..
