Date of Hike:
Trail Conditions: . Hard Packed Snow in trail very soft and deep off to the sides. Some minor blowdowns between N&S. There are no ice bridges left on the major streams, could be a issue with the next melt.
Special Equipment Required: Traction - essential, We carried snowshoes but didnt use them, The track between N&S is not as well consolidated with 4 feet deep on either side, if the conditions are right, this could become a posthole marathon without snowshoes. Walking down from South Hancock was not really an option with microspikes, We slid down most of it.
Comments: Optional - Perfect day to be out, 100 miles visibility. Two gray jays joined us on the hike up North Hancock.
