After last week's hike of Field and Wiley, we jumped to the other side of Crawford Notch today for a quick trip up Jackson before the storm hit.
Wore microspikes all day. For the most part, the trail is set up nicely. A little ice near the bottom, and the chute at the top is a bit tricky. Other than that, it is a packed out highway with only a few postholes. Looks like there was some fresh snow yesterday, but not enough to slow down the track at all.
Water crossings are all solid. No blow downs to deal with. Looks like someone had been through with a saw recently. Thanks.
