Started at Prediger rd parking area. Climbed to Jimmy Dolan Notch, then summited Indian head. It was snowing all the way up but the clouds were just starting to break at the top. Doubled back on devils path then climed Twin Mountain. It was beautiful clear skies at the top and stayed that way for the rest of the day. Then up and over Sugarloaf to Mink Hollow trail, down to Roaring Kill Road (the parking area was plowed despite what the map led me to believe. Hiked back to my car on the road.
Wore spikes most of the day. Descending Twin toward pecoy notch was hairy. Glad I had crampons in my pack eventhough I didn't use then. A slightly heavier pack or a tad more ice and I would have stopped to swich off. Wonderful day, wish I had started earlier so I could have went over Plateau.
