Leki rubber tips

I prefer rubber tips on my poles. After losing my old poles last summer, I bought some Lekis. On a few long hikes in the very muddy Adirondacks I've now lost 3 (THREE) of the rubber tips, all off the same pole. (One was my fault; a spare put on, in mid-hike, over a muddy tip...) Every time I hear a "click" I stop, look back at the pole holes in the mud, and try to find the thing... so far, always to no avail. Of course it's always at a somewhat difficult section, where I've put some weight on the pole.

Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping these things on? At $4-$5 each and the need to carry spares, it's irritating to lose them,

You could glue the rubber tips on. Of course you'd probably have to get some spare (regular) tips, too...

Stick a couple of drops of Shoe Goo inside of each before pushing them onto the poles. I'd guess that would do the trick.
