Lou Whittaker passed away

March 24, 2024, Lou Whittaker passed away at his home in Ashford, WA.

He was an American pioneer! First American-led expedition from the North side of Everest, first American summit of Kanchenjunga, then an amazing career founding RMI.

What an exciting time that must have been to be a mountaineer!
