Has anyone been up Monadnock lately? I'm wondering about how much ice there might be on the trails. Planning on hiking Nov. 11 and will bring appropriate cold weather gear and YakTraks.

Thanks for any info.

Snow

We climbed Cannon today, there was snow above 1000' but no ice. A front moved through today, I'm not sure if Monadnock got any, but I'm pretty sure you won't run into ice.

It's currently 32 here in Peterborough, colder on the mountain. Probably some surface ice tomorrow, but no snow.

Have fun!

We were there sunday, main trails were okay, many slippery oak leaves and some water but overall okay. Lesser known trails were very slick due to wet rock, moss and lichen. It is just above freezing in N Mass this morning so there may be some minor ice in the higher hollows today but you will not need traction. Maybe see you there today. I'm starting around 9 from the park if you're interested.
